Our Solution

One Suggestion:

This customer purchased one set Case erector, 1.5M no power roll belt for manually loading product in case then sending to semi-automatic case sealer for box sealing. The label machine was without a constant-speed belt and guide rod, we try to put the label machine beside the 1.5M no power roll belt, worke moved the case for labeling after loading. The problem is manual moving speed and position are not fixed, then the signal received and sent by the labeling machine sensor is unstable, and the labeling position on the case is different finally. Our engineer tries to put the signal sensor at the entrance of the case sealer machine, labeling when the sealer the case. Because the case sealer with 2 sides guidelines and a power roll belt to fix the case moving speed and position, the label position on the case is relatively fixed. Still one problem, due to the mechanical structure, the labeling height should not be lower than 130mm, and the more accurate the labeling position is towards the back of the box.

Where possible, we suggest the label machine with its own special belt, convenient and stable performance.

Requirement for case and label material if using a fully automatic machine

  • Regarding fold lines:
1: For a corrugated cardboard box with a thickness of more than 5 layers, the fold lines should be deep.
2: For a corrugated cardboard box with a thickness of more than 5 layers, it is preferable for the fold lines on the longer side flaps to be positioned higher than the fold lines on the front and back wider flaps by the thickness of one cardboard layer.
  • Regarding side A:
1: Side A refers to the front of the box where the box-handling machine’s suction cup attaches.
2: The printing direction on side A determines the top and bottom of the box.
3: The determination of printing direction on side A determines the machine’s forming direction (whether it forms to the left or right).
4: For a machine, the printing direction on side A must be consistent.
5: Before forming, ensure that side A has no pre-folded creases and that the surface is flat.
  • Regarding material:
1: The material should not be too soft, and the surface should be flat. It is especially important for high-speed case erectors. If possible, provide samples.
2: For materials with a thickness of more than 5 layers, samples should be provided for confirmation.
  • Regarding bevel cuts:
1: Ideally, all flaps inside the cardboard box should have bevel cuts, especially for boxes with a thickness of more than 5 layers and fast production requirements.
2: The purpose of bevel cuts is to prevent box jamming during forming caused by irregular box construction during nailing or gluing.
3: The position of the bevel cuts is shown in the diagram. The bevel cut dimensions: H is approximately 1/3 of the height of the front and back inner flaps, and W is approximately 4 times the thickness of the cardboard box.
  • Regarding flaps:
1: The outer flaps on both sides should not overlap when manually folded and pressed, ensuring a gap of 1-2mm.

2: The front and back inner flaps should also not overlap when folded and pressed. Samples should be provided if overlapping occurs.
3: For square boxes, the dimensions of the front and back inner flaps and the outer flaps are usually the same. Be sure to apply bevel cuts for proper forming.

  • Regarding dimensions:
1: For the Case erector, it is recommended to provide a comprehensive list of specifications (length, width, height) as a reference.
2: For square boxes, special attention should be given if there is a significant difference in proportions between the length, width, and height.
3: Case erectors typically prioritize either larger or smaller dimensions within the same structure. It is not suitable to use the same structure for boxes with significantly different proportions.

Labeling Requirements
1. Make labels, single row, label interval 2-3mm

2. The margin between the label and release paper: 2-3mm

3. Label backing paper material: glassine backing paper
4. Label die-cutting accuracy: ±0.2 mm, can not cut the backing paper
5. Label roll maximum outer diameter: 300 mm
6. Paper core inner diameter: 76.2mm
7. It’s better to label the case after loading the product case so the case is heavy, better effect than an empty case.
8. If it’s printing and label on time then the label size is not smaller than 30*30mm.
9. Pls confirm the position of the case you need to label, as the machine design is different if the label is on the right side or left side, or top side, one machine only for the same side, is unable to change.
