The customer is a leading enclosure manufacturer with over thirty years of expertise. Based in Turkey, they offer a wide range of enclosures for laboratory equipment, security, home automation, measurement and organization, telecommunications, as well as biomedical and customer electronics businesses.

Customer Requirement

Product: screws, metal parts, and plastic parts

Size: max 3 or 5 kgs

Quantity: 10 to 1000pcs

The weighing volume of small screws is more than 100pcs

Need precision scales because they have plastic parts that are very light.

Need 2 machines

220 V, 50 Hz, with round-prong European-style plugs. Both 1 phase and 3 phase are possible.

Sometimes need to mix 2 kinds of different products together.

Our solution:

There are many different kinds of spare parts, and quantities from 10 to 1000 pcs, mainly for 100~1000 pcs per bag. The speed required is about 5~7 bags/min, and accept tolerance is about 1~3 pcs per bag, so 2 head weigher is suitable for this customer, 10 head weigher is much faster but the cost is higher, hopper counting unable to counting so many different products, and speed is very slow for larger quantity bags.

Tips for setting the parameters

Coarse weight≥Medium weight≥Fine weight

Coarse Vibration≥Medium vibration≥Fine vibration

If you set coarse weight 800, medium weight 900, and fine weight 980g, it is totally wrong.

The basic principle is that the coarse weight, medium weight, and fine weight, are not the actual weight. They are the remaining weight to be fed.

For example, the NO.1 hopper weighs 1000g rice, Let’s say the setting is as below:

Coarse feeder:

Coarse weight 200g   Medium weight 120g  Fine weight 80g

Coarse vibration 70    Medium vibration 40  Fine vibration 30

the remaining feeding weight≥200g, the coarse feeder will feed the product by coarse vibration70; You could also understand it as the product in hopper≤(Target weight-Coarse weight), that is before 800g, the coarse feeder will feed the product by coarse vibration70.

200g≥the remaining feeding weight≥120g, the coarse feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from coarse vibration 70 to medium vibration 40; You could also understand it as (Target weight-Coarse weight) ≤product in hopper≤(Target weight-Medium weight), that is the weight in the hopper between 800g to 880g, the coarse feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from coarse vibration 70 to medium vibration 40.

120g≥the remaining feeding weight≥80g, the coarse feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from medium vibration 40 to medium vibration 30. Fine weight≥ The remaining feeding weight, the coarse feeder will stop feeding. You could also understand it as (Target weight-medium weight) ≤product in hopper≤(Target weight-medium weight), that is between 880 to 920g, the coarse feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from medium vibration 40 to medium vibration 30. product in hopper≥Target weight-fine weight, that is after 920g, the coarse feeder will stop feeding.

150g≥the remaining feeding weight≥100g, the fine feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from coarse vibration 50 to medium vibration 28; You could also understand it as (Target weight-Coarse weight) ≤product in hopper≤(Target weight-Medium weight), that is the weight in the hopper between 850g to 900g, the fine feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from coarse vibration 50 to medium vibration 28.

100g≥the remaining feeding weight≥20g, the fine feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from medium vibration 28 to fine vibration 22. Fine weight≥the remaining feeding weight, the fine feeder will feed with fine vibration 22 till it reaches the target weight. You could also understand it as (Target weight-medium weight) ≤product in hopper≤(Target weight-medium weight), that is between 900 to 980g, the fine feeder will feed with vibration decreasing from medium vibration 28 to medium vibration 22. product in hopper≥Target weight-fine weight, that is after 980g, the fine feeder will feed with fine vibration 22 till it reaches the target weight.
