Tube Cartoning Machine for Vietnamese Customer

We recently got an inquiry from a pharmaceutical factory in Vietnam. They make scar treatment products – the kind that come in small bottles, gel tubes, and sometimes with a dropper.

Their product mix:

  • Option A: 1 bottle + 1 dropper + 1 instruction leaflet → into one carton 105*55*40mm
  • Option B: 1 tube alone + 1 leaflet → into a carton 126*50*44mm (another size is 108*39*24mm)
  • Option C: 1 bottle alone + 1 leaflet → into a third carton 108*47*36mm

Our Solution – One Horizontal Cartoner Glue Sealing

✅ 1. Size compatibility – without changing parts

Our horizontal cartoning machine is designed for small-format pharma products. As long as the carton style is the same (side-glue type), all of your carton sizes can run on the same machine without mechanical changeover parts.Just adjust a few handwheels or enter dimensions on the HMI.

But one of the cartons is a non-standard shape – One side was protruding. “That protruding flap will cause carton opening failure. Please make all boxes with the same flat-side design, then we guarantee compatibility.”

And one more detail: Their dropper comes pre-packed in a small plastic bag. “The bag length cannot be longer than the carton length, otherwise the cartoner can’t form the box properly.”

✅ 2. Manual or automatic leaflet – your choice

We offer two configurations on the same machine base:

  • Basic version: manual leaflet folding + manual loading + auto cartoning.
(Their operators fold leaflets at a table, then drop product + leaflet into the carton chain.)
  • Full version: automatic leaflet feeder + folder + inserter + auto cartoning.
(Operator only loads the bottle/tube. Machine does the rest.)
SetupSpeed (cartons/min)Best for
Manual leaflet + manual load40–50Low-volume, frequent size change
Auto leaflet + manual load30–40Higher volume, fewer operators

Same machine. Different modules. This is how you scale.

Our horizontal cartoner is built for:

  • Small boxes (as small as 20mm length)
  • Mixed products (bottle + tube + leaflet)
  • Side-glue cartons (cheaper than tuck-flap)
  • Factory workers, not engineers

We don’t sell dreams. We sell a machine that:

  • Runs 30–50 cpm reliably
  • Changes size in under 15 minutes
  • Doesn’t break when you switch from a tube to a bottle

If you have a similar challenge – small bottles, tubes, blisters, or mixed SKUs in side-glue cartons – let’s talk. We won’t ask you to standardize all your boxes. We’ll just tell you which ones work and which don’t.
